I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to everyone participating in
the 9th annual McGill Management International Case Competition (MMICC), organized
by McGill University’s business students. I would also like to welcome all those who have
travelled to Canada to take part in this prestigious event.
Today’s business landscape demands innovative and resourceful
professionals. This year’s competition will provide you with an opportunity to focus on the
current dynamics of the global economy and the skills that will be needed to help you
succeed in this demanding environment.
Over the next five days, you will have the chance to meet with fellow
students from Canada and abroad and to put your knowledge to the test. I am certain that
this year’s competition will provide you with interesting challenges that will enhance your
education while building new relationships with those who share your interest in
business.
I would like to thank the members of the organizing committee, as well as
the sponsors and faculty members, for making this competition such a success. Your
commitment to the development of Canada’s future business leaders is commendable.
On behalf of the Government of Canada, please accept my best wishes for a
most exciting and rewarding experience.
The Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P.
