Eligibility Rules

Please be advised that the following rules are subject to Faculty review each year. The finalized rules will be published in our Welcome Guide and on our website by February.

Spirit of the competition: These rules are meant to create as a level playing field as possible – not to give any team an unfair advantage.

Schools

  • Eligible schools include universities, their Faculty or School counterparts, and business schools.
  • Independent academies, colleges and institutes must offer a full-time program equivalent to a bachelor.
  • All schools should have an undergraduate program in Commerce, Management, Business Administration, and/or Economics.
  • Graduate schools (MBA) and establishments focused on executive education are not eligible.

Students

To compete at MMICC, students must:
  • be an undergraduate
  • be enrolled in a degree or major in Business, Economics or Management
  • if in Law or Social Sciences, be enrolled in a double-major program, as long as one of the majors is in Business, Economics or Management
  • have a full-time course load at the time of the competition
  • be registered at your school (exchange students cannot compete for your school)
  • be in their fourth consecutive year of bachelor or less
  • be 25 years old or less
  • be eligible for travel into Canada
