Executive Committee & Ambassadors Team

Executive Committee
Led by two co-chairs, the Executive Committee is the backbone responsible for the complete array of preparations ahead of the competition. This includes choosing spectacular venues, scheduling events, engaging relations with the business community, planning fundraising or awareness activities, arranging accommodation, equipment and transportation, getting involved with promotion, marketing, and logistical planning, negotiating agreements with providers, and coordinating staff and ambassadors.

Executives run the show, set the highest goals, develop long-term relations and use their creativity. Management students looking for an integral leadership role should consider joining the Executive Committee.

Details:
  • The usual length of function is from September to April
  • Executives are expected to dismiss lectures during MMICC week with proper authorization provided by the Faculty
  • Complete 24-hours presence is required during MMICC week
  • Executives receive week-long accommodation at the Marriott Residence Inn

Ambassadors Team
Headed by a designated executive, ambassadors act as the first point-of-contact for the participants and play a delegate role throughout the competition. Responsibilities include communicating with teams, greeting and guiding them through the week, socializing, and ensuring they have an unforgettable time. Ambassadors are also involved with on-site logistics, case monitoring and assistance during presentations.

Ambassadors represent McGill, go the extra mile, create an inclusive atmosphere, stay on top of their team's logistics and are called to help the executives. Management students looking for a social & supporting role should consider joining the Ambassadors Team.

Details:
  • The usual length of function starts in January and becomes significant towards March
  • Ambassadors are expected to dismiss lectures during MMICC week with proper authorization provided by the Faculty
  • Although not on a 24-hour basis, presence is mandatory for the duration of the events, and desirable during off-times

Volunteers, Production Team & Campus Staff

Volunteers
In recent years, MMICC has counted on volunteers to provide indispensable help on a per-need basis, including set-up, backstage distribution, printing, crowd control, equipment, and directional assistance.

Students from all Faculties looking to gain insights on case competitions, or who wish to provide live/short-term assistance on campus should consider joining as a volunteer.
Details:
  • The applicable length of function is short-term and will not exceed 8 hours
  • You will receive organizer credentials for the day
  • We welcome your volunteering offers throughout the year

Production Team
MMICC may rely on the expertise of qualified individuals or providers for production-based activities. Freelancers (students and professionals alike), photographers, videographers, graphic designers, Montreal-based promoters and event providers are welcome to send us proposals or leave their reference information.

Campus Staff
Although MMICC is student-run, the competition's success rests on the support of various academic units and campus offices:
