Concept
The Challenge
At this competition, teams must work through a business scenario, identifying key priorities, weighing benefits and addressing risks before drafting a strategic plan which they must present to the judges.
Well-balanced
MMICC is a multi-faceted event and balances social and academic excellence. The
schedule typically includes three days of social activities and two days of competition. While the competitive portion is inspired from other case competitions worldwide, MMICC also features networking events, high-profile functions and activities that are truly unique to Montreal, making it both a cultural and academic platform for top business students worldwide.
Multi-disciplinary
The competition challenges students on their ability to see and convey the "big picture", testing the participants on their cumulative knowledge in many fields, including finance, accounting, marketing, strategic management as well as their teamwork, creativity, leadership, communication and presentation skills.
A level-playing field
The
rules and
format are meant to create a level-playing field: one of MMICC's core commitments. While the rules are among the strictest of any case competition, each team is assured to work with the same constraints on resources, time and accessibility, thus competing on the fairest ground possible.
The world's friendliest
MMICC is a
student-run event, and has been entirely organized by McGill students since its foundation. Each year, we strive to stage the world's friendliest case competition by preserving its select atmosphere and by capitalizing on its setting: Canada's most internationally diverse university, and one of North America's most vibrant cities.
